Microsoft Manager: Man Who Pushed Ryse’s Graphics Working on More Xbox One Exclusives Microsoft Games Studios Manager Mike Ybarra has been checking out games lately, including Insomniac’s Sunset Overdrive and Platinum Games’ Scalebound, and today he shared some interesting information about them, or more precisely on who is working on them on Twitter. Ybarra commented on Ryse: Son of Rome‘s victory of the Siggraph award for graphics mentioning that Art Director Habib Zargarpour is the one that made many of those visuals happen on Xbox One, and he mentioned that he’s assisting the art directors on more Xbox One exclusives, namely Sunset Overdrive, Scalebound and Crackdown. In addition to this, we learn that former Halo Writer and Creative Director Joseph Staten is helping with all of those games as well. Zargarpour is well known as a Hollywood visual effects artists and worked for nine years at Industrial Light and Magic. He created the visual effects for Star Wars: Episode I‘s pod race and he was nominated for two Academy Awards, he also won two British Academy Awards. Ybarra also promised to post an intro on the leads at the Studios soon, including Ken Lobb, Habib Zargarpour, Michael Mann, Michael Weilbacher, Joseph Staten and more.
